• Follow A337 thru Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst towards Lymington;
• Continue thru Lymington towards Milford-on-Sea, New Milton, Bournemouth;
• Just beyond the first roundabout after Lymington there is a Shell Petrol Station on your left;
• Take next right into South Street;
• Little Gem is second turning on left (halfway down on left-hand side) behind a small box hedge with the Pennington Close sign in front of it.
• It’s important to note: A Little Gem’s has a blue door because, strangely, there are two number One’s on Pennington Close!
A Little Gem is within walking distance of village shops and public houses. The Lymington railway station and the Isle of Wight ferry are not too far away. It is also conveniently located on a bus route. Short drives will take you to a wealth of excellent pubs and restaurants. A few miles further on you will come to Beaulieu with its Abbey ruins, Palace House and world famous motor museum.
The other direction takes you to the seaside town of Milford-on-Sea, the Hordle Cliffs, and the RSPB Bird Reserve of Keyhaven. Keen walkers can get to all these sites along the Solent Way. Lovely walks can be had from A Little Gem: down Pennington Lane and onto the marshes where a wide variety of bird-life can be found. You can also walk across the marshes to Keyhaven and out to Hurst Castle or take the little ferry boat if you prefer from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle.
Having just returned from 3 years of travelling, I can honestly say,that the hospitality at the Little Gem, is second to none. We were welcomed in and made to feel at home. The breakfast was great, the room more than comfortable and the local information provided top class. Thank you for our stay.Marcus Cashin and Sarah Johnson - Bristol:
Thank you for a wonderful welcome in our first stay at the `LITTLE GEM` it really was a `LITTLE GEM`. You were very kind and always very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and we as guests really appreciate it. The breakfast was first class and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with a super power shower. We would without doubt stay with you again, and hope to do so in the not to distant future. Once again thank you very much, from your two Welsh friends from Swansea in South Wales.Nye and Dora - South Wales
